Senior Adaptation and Water Specialist
Dr. Binaya Raj Shivakoti is a Senior Adaptation and Water Specialist with over 15 years of experience in water resources management and climate change adaptation across several Asian countries. His work spans from policy formulation to grassroots implementation, focusing on interdisciplinary research addressing complex and cascading disaster risks, DRR–CCA integration, adaptation–mitigation synergies, and the promotion of indigenous and local knowledge systems. He also contributes to sustainable groundwater management, wastewater systems including waste-to-energy solutions, and integrated river basin approaches for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
