Dr. Carl-Friedrich Schleussner

Lead, Integrated Climate Impacts (ICI) Research Group, IIASA

Dr. Carl-Friedrich Schleussner leads the Integrated Climate Impacts (ICI) Research Group in the Energy, Climate, and Environment Program at IIASA. He previously served as Head of Climate Science at Climate Analytics in Berlin, Germany. He is also an Honorary Professor at the Geography Department and the Integrative Research Institute on Transformations of Human-Environment Systems at Humboldt University Berlin.

He holds a PhD from the University of Potsdam and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. His research spans extreme climate events, climate impact projections, tipping elements, and the societal implications of climate change.
