Prof. Rajendra Prasad Shrestha

Prof. Rajendra Prasad Shrestha holds a PhD in Natural Resources Management and is currently a Professor at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. His research focuses on land use and land cover change, particularly the land change–degradation–human interface for policy support in the context of climate change. He also works on livelihood studies and food security in relation to land use. He has published extensively on these topics across Southeast and South Asia and has collaborated with organizations such as FAO, UNDP, UNEP, IUCN, WAC, and regional universities. Previously, he served as a Lecturer and Agriculture Officer in Nepal, a Senior Programme Officer at the United Nations Environment Programme in Bangkok, a Visiting Scientist at Nihon University of Japan, and at Roskilde University of Denmark.
